My AC: Artemis by Garm-r My AC: Artemis by Garm-r
Just a photo of my AC for Armored Core For Answer.

He's a mid weight craft armed with two machine guns and a pair of radars. Simple but effective >:3

I do love the AC series =3

THIS IS A PHOTO FROM THE GAME... i didn't model it.
Just in to avoid possible confusion

Artfully done. Always nice to see another pilot. You in ACV at all?

If I may, allow me to shine some insight upon thy craft.

Youre running a midweight with nothing but close range weapons. It looks cool, but youre essentially asking to be outranged. However, I have seen some midwieghts with CQC potential, so allow me to guide you in that direction.
-The Frame
-Your legs are too slow. Aliya is faster and has enough PA to cover the defense gap.
-Your core is decent, but I'd personally like to be able to use shoulder units. Soluh core pairs well with aliya legs. The defense and energy differences between the two are negligiable.
-Hogire head is outclassed by a plethora of others. Try Holofernes for speed, and either soluh or ekhazar for energy and decent defense.
-Aliya arms are excellent for this frame. Dont change them.

-Switch out inblue fcs for lahire or judith. Youll need it for missiles, and once you hit 400 lock, you see them instantaneously.
-Your generator is too heavy. Try Judith or Lahire if you want balanced energy recovery, try Linstant if you can handle the drain. Linstant is the best generator technically, since it gives you such good PA, but certain people have issues with the drain *cough(noobs)cough*.
-Aliya main booster is amazing. It allows excellent manueverability while flying. If you want to even faster, try Virtue. You cant fly too well with it, but it does go faster, so its really a trade off.
-Aliya back is amazing, but Latona is more efficient. Aliya is technically the best, but if its too hard to use, try latona.
-Aliya side is too strong; its so powerful youll overshoot your target, and be left open. Try schedar or hogire. They arent powerful, which is actually a good thing here, but they also have execllent energy as well.
-Your OB is too drainy and inefficient. Pick KRB Judith for energy recovery, and Sobrero for power. Rigel too is an option if you want to settle for the middle, but those are the only logical choices.

-Dual motocobras are deadly, but lack range. Slap on an assault rifle, like the marve or the 0700. 063 and Mr102 are fine aswell, but dont do the same ammount of damage.
-Radars are the most useless thing in the game. I suggest using a missile combo, like spread or scatter missiles with a shoulder missile (not AS though), and a sapla on the other side. Use the missiles to bait opponents in, and nail them with the side unit.
-Drop the blades. All the rooms online either host guns or blades, hybrid rooms are virtually non-existent. Also, the blades are redundant with your infinite PA bomb, and they drain too much energy to be worth it.
awww dude, you have the best pair of Rayleonard machine guns in the whole of ACFA :D i used to have them (until my xbox froze and deleted the data T-T)

Oh well very good choice in the set of parts mate :)

Thanks mate
I've updated him slightly now, got the MP-0901 PM missile launcher on one shoulder and a better radar on the other. Though he might evolve more, as I've not really tested the back components much, but the guns are staying ^^. Cause they don't give a chance for PA recharge they just more AC's down.

im on the 360.
Did you see the video?

Just watched it now (was a tad busy earlier).

Its a nice build =3, but I tend to dislike back mounted machine guns. They lack the wide angle of aiming you can get from and hand held guns =3.

its mainly for the ammo and trapping ennemy ACs.
Vert missiles make it a pain, front missiles screw with one sice to go to and the two machine guns take him out.

I wish I could draw him with some ones next as if it were a warzone but sadly I still suck lol.

He works well as a Support next and has a very quick en recovery so quick-boosting like a wild beast is no problem.

Elegant, just as Artemis would like it.

You know, since Haven is such a futuristic city, I'd like to see a final giant mech battle on the final book (book 8). I think these mechs would be useful for troll control and suppression.

One thing that continues to mystify me, however is.... why move underground?
Why not launch a massive space station, and then use Foaly's super-efficient solar panels to power the stealth active optic camoflauge/shield?

But then again, if this happened, then 75% key winning points of Artmis's plans would've failed:

*Mulch freeing Holly and Arty from younger Arty's trunk in The Time Paradox.

*Mulch breaking into the Spiro Needle in Eternity Code

*Mulch aiding in keeping Beau occupied in Lost Colony

And several other occasions. To be honest, that dwarf is plotwise the #1 most important character in the story, as he influences the plot AND the humorous moments, meanwhile Foaly is mostly useful as the plot device with his impossibly advanced gadgets.I'm sure he probably has White Glint in his bedroom...

Sorry, but I've never heard of this Haven story.
I got the name Artemis from Greek mythology
Helldiver450 Featured By Owner Mar 17, 2011
Oh I thought you got inspired by the book, Artemis Fowl.
It's like a futuristic version of Harry Potter, put it that way.

It's a present-time story where myths about fairies and dwarves are completely revamped to becoming futuristic civilizations with technology centuries ahead of modern humans.
Dude, I honestly think you'll love the story since the main character is a cold plotting genius (who sadly turns good throughout the book series), and it involves alot of the tech used in Metal Gear solid, such as stealth optic camouflage and lasers.
Still, that's just my opinion.
TO be honest, all the book series needs now is an Armored Core unit with super-sonic thrust.

Artemis is a Greek deity, so the name Artemis was around long before Artemis Fowl.

I've heard of the author, not the story though.
I'll look into it if I see it next time I'm at waterstones.
